• The city of Watsonville California honored director Alicia Zenteno Ramos of Grupo Folklórico Raices Mestizas with a Proclamation on October 10, 2023, for her dedication to foment the culture and traditions of Mexico through the art of dance.
• The Proclamation was presented by Mayor Eduardo Montesino at the City Council meeting, where he praised Zenteno Ramos for her passion and commitment to preserving and promoting the Mexican folkloric dance in the community.
• Zenteno Ramos thanked the city for the recognition and said that she was humbled and grateful for the opportunity to share her love for the dance with others. She also thanked her family, friends, and students for their support and encouragement.
